Blog

Hey, I’m Pauline, a French girl captivated by people and cultures, living life as an adventure wherever I go. Newfound enthusiast of solo traveling as a woman. I’ll share my recipe and learnings with you.

Dear readers! Welcome to my travel blog! First of all, thank you for trusting me by clicking this page. To make this blog a bit more personal, let me share a few lines about me!

I’m Pauline, a French woman captivated by the richness of the world, the cultures, and the people who shape it. I find it amazing how, while living on the same planet, we have such diverse ways of living, traditions, rituals, ways of coexisting and communicating, styles of clothing & fabrics, food & spices… This fascination drives me to wander, explore, and learn from everyone I meet, whether far away or in my everyday surroundings. Indeed, traveling doesn’t just take place on the other side of the world, it can be a daily experience, just by being curious about what is happening around us.

I’ve had the opportunity to live abroad twice during my studies—first in Montreal, Canada, and then in Guangzhou, China. These experiences gave me a taste of what it feels like to immerse yourself in new cultures. Now, with a thirst for more, I’ve been living in Vienna, Austria, for the past two and a half years.

Wherever I go, I love diving deep into each place. Looking for hidden gems, connect with locals, walk around to feel the spirit of the place, and be open to spontaneous opportunities arising. Every adventure reminds me how much I love sharing my learnings, tips, and stories to maybe inspire others to do the same!

I’ve long wanted a platform to share my experiences officially. This year, I embarked on my first solo trip to India—a big step given the stereotypes about solo female travel, especially in India. This trip was transformative in many ways (more on that to come in my blog posts), and it inspired me to launch my Instagram travel page and now this blog.

Here, I’ll share tips on solo female travel and insights on traveling differently—connecting with locals and exploring something different than the touristic attractions (even if some are still a must to see) like the spiritual and ancestral teachings of each country which have profoundly enriched my travels. And, of course, there will be food tips, because discovering new flavors is one of the most exciting parts of traveling!

Let’s explore and get inspired together!
